4.2 Automatic Ripping and Encoding

The simplest approach to ripping is to enable Auto Rip in the Cdrom configuration. Emptytree-seedy will automatically rip and encode each new known but unprocessed CD that is placed in your Cdroms. A known CD is one that has been successfully looked up using a CDDBP server. An unprocessed CD is one for which all its tracks have not been encoded at all your specified rates.

Ripped tracks will be removed once they have been fully encoded.

4.3 Manual Ripping and Encoding

For manual ripping, view your cdrom. The fifth column in a CD listing, R?, identifies wether or not you want to rip this track. 'Y' meaning yes rip it, 'N' meaning no do not rip it. Click the column title to mark all tracks for rip or not for rip. Click the fifth column of any row to change the rip choice for that track only. When you want to start ripping use the right mouse button to bring up a menu and select the Rip option.

The sixth column, RE, identifies wether or not the track has been ripped or encoded. 'R' meaning ripped, 'E' meaning encoded.

Ripped tracks will be removed once they have been fully encoded.
